Ears and Teeth
Well, theose beautiful bare ears you see above are no more: Caroline has had her ears pierced. I told her she could do it when she turned eight, but for 11 months she has been too afraid of the pain to actually do it. We have been to the jewelry store in the mall two or three times, but she couldn't follow through. Then yesterday morning she came into my room and said, "Mom, I thin I want to get my ears pierced." So of course i said, "Get your shoes on and let's get out the door!" We went right to the mall and before she could change her mind it was over. The whole time she kept saying, "I can't believe I'm doing this!" She was surprised how little it actually hurt- all she said was "OW!" Then we chose three more pair of earings to wear when the ears are healed. The original studs are super cut little cz daisies. $49.50 later (33 for the piercing and oroginal gold studs, the rest for the other three earings) Caroline kept saying, "THANK YOU SO MUCH MOM! I can't believe how lucky I am." That is really the truth.
Brin has taken to using TWO toothbrushes to brush her teeth at night. She chooses two different princess toothbrushes, loads them up with toothpaste and then brushes with both at once, one left the other tight, or one brush on top the other on the bottom. She knows she's funny.
Jeff gets back from Seattle tonight at midnight. Caroline recently said, "Dad is gone so much that it's actually more weird when he's home, because I'm used to him being out of town."
